Water Tower in Bydgoszcz

The Water Tower in Bydgoszcz is a historic waterworks structure from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, now serving museum functions (Waterworks Museum / TeH2O branch). It is one of Bydgoszcz's characteristic monuments of technology.

History

The tower was built in 1899-1900 to a design by a Berlin architect. Since 2012, together with the Pumping Station in the Gdańsk Forest, it has served as a museum of the Bydgoszcz waterworks.

What to see

Exhibitions presenting wooden water pipes, water tokens, the fittings of old bathrooms and toilets, archival photographs and documents. The observation terrace offers a panorama of the city.
