Railway Museum in Silesia in Jaworzyna Śląska

One of the largest railway museums in Poland, operating on the grounds of the former engine shed and technical facilities of the Jaworzyna Śląska station. It covers an area of over 2.5 ha with about 3 km of tracks, on which more than 150 historic railway vehicles have been gathered - steam locomotives, diesel and electric locomotives, carriages and specialised vehicles.

  • Over 40 locomotives of German, Polish, American and English construction
  • Documentation of the history of railway technology of the 19th and 20th centuries

Character

The museum operates as a living museum of technology with operational rolling stock; rides on historic trains are organised.
