The brewery in Cieszyn has been brewing beer continuously for more than 175 years and is one of the oldest operating breweries in Poland. It sits at the foot of Castle Hill, and some of its structures were carved into the rock beneath the grounds of the former castle.
The site is located in the centre of Cieszyn, by Castle Hill. The visitor entrance leads through the gate at ul. Zamkowa 3b.
The tour route presents the stages of traditional beer production: historic brewhouse equipment, including kettles over a hundred years old, an ice tunnel, a malt store and cellars carved into the rock.
For lovers of brewing traditions and industrial tourism; the tour requires a certain level of physical fitness (the site spreads across several levels).
The site is not adapted for people with reduced mobility or for wheelchairs. Individual tickets are bought on site; groups of more than 10 people require prior reservation.
Tours on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays at 12:00 and 14:00. Groups over 10 people by prior reservation.
