The Oscypek Museum is an interactive venue in the centre of Zakopane devoted to the tradition of making Podhale sheep's cheese. Opened in 2018, the place combines education with live demonstrations.
The venue is located at ul. Jagiellońska 28, near the railway station and the thermal baths. An aquapark is right next door.
During the visit, guests watch all the stages of oscypek production according to the traditional recipe, presented live. In a short workshop you can shape your own small cheese as a keepsake.
A family attraction; the recommended minimum age is about 5 years. Individual and group tickets are available.
On site there is a shop with certified oscypek and regional souvenirs, as well as toilets.
The museum is open for most of the year; in the high season advance booking is recommended. Hours according to the website: Thu 13:30-18:00, Fri-Sat 11:30-18:00.
About 5 minutes from Zakopane railway station; no own car park (parking available at the aquapark across the street).
