Koryciński Cheese - Gremza Family Farm

A family farm near Korycin producing traditional Koryciński cheese - one of the best-known Polish regional cheeses. Koryciński cheese "Swojski" received the EU Protected Geographical Indication in 2012 and earlier (2005) was entered on the List of Traditional Products of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Location and surroundings

The farm is located in the village of Szumowo in the Korycin commune (Sokółka county), in the Podlasie region considered the cradle of Koryciński cheese. Production of the protected cheese is limited to three communes: Korycin, Suchowola and Janów.

What to see / Offer

Koryciński cheese is made traditionally from unpasteurized cow's milk. Producers in the region offer the option to buy cheeses directly as well as courier shipping; the products are also available at traditional food fairs.

Seasonality and hours
