Market Hall in Gdańsk

The historic Market Hall on Dominican Square in the Main Town was built between 1894 and 1896 (opened on 3 August 1896) to a design by Kurt Fehlhaber, in order to concentrate street trade in one place. It has three naves, a height of 15 m and an area of about 4,714 m2.

Location and surroundings

Located at 1 Dominican Square, in the strict centre of Gdańsk. During renovation, the foundations of the Romanesque Church of St. Nicholas, among other things, were discovered here.
