Łazarski Market

A historic market square in Poznań, in the central part of the Łazarz district. Founded at the end of the 19th century by the Prussian authorities of the Święty Łazarz municipality as the main square with a marketplace, public garden and playground. The Polish name - Rynek Łazarski - was given in mid-1919.

Monument status

In 1982 the entire urban layout was entered into the register of monuments.

Present day

After a revitalisation completed and opened on 4 December 2021, it became the most modern and largest marketplace in Poznań - 90 stalls and 13 trading pavilions under an innovative canopy. Area approx. 5,800 m2.
