The Tuchola Forest (Bory Tucholskie) is one of the largest woodland complexes in Poland, stretching across the sandy lands of Pomerania and Kuyavia, in the basin of the Brda and Wda rivers. Pine forests dominate here, shaped by centuries of forest management.
The complex lies on the border of the Pomeranian and Kuyavian-Pomeranian voivodeships, between Chojnice, Tuchola and Wdzydze.
Characteristic features include lobelia lakes with clear water, more than 40 lakes exceeding 1 km² in area, rivers, dunes and peat bogs. Species found here include the white-tailed eagle, crane, black stork and capercaillie.
For canoeists, cyclists, hikers and families.
A year-round destination; canoeing trips and bathing in the summer season.
By car; a base for trips in Charzykowy and Tuchola, among others.
