Noteć Forest

The Noteć Forest (Puszcza Notecka) is the second-largest woodland complex in Poland, covering approx. 1,350 km², and the largest forest complex in Greater Poland. It stretches for more than 100 km in the Warta-Noteć interfluve.

Location and surroundings

It lies mainly in the Greater Poland and Lubusz voivodeships (also reaching the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship), from Santok and Skwierzyna in the west to Oborniki and Rogoźno in the east.

Natural attractions

Extensive pine forests dominate (approx. 90% of the complex), growing on post-glacial sandy dunes averaging about 20 m in height.
