Drawa Forest (Drawa National Park)

The Drawa Forest (Puszcza Drawska) is an extensive woodland complex on the sandur Drawa Plain, in the southern part of the Pomeranian Lakeland. Its most valuable part is protected by the Drawa National Park (established in 1990, area approx. 11,019 ha), where forests make up more than 80% of the area.

Location and surroundings

The park lies on the border of the West Pomeranian, Lubusz and Greater Poland voivodeships, at the confluence of the Drawa and Płociczna rivers.

Natural attractions

Characteristic features are dense forests, numerous lakes and clean, meandering rivers rich in fauna.
