Beech Forest

The Beech Forest (Puszcza Bukowa) is a woodland complex in the Beech Hills, on the south-eastern outskirts of Szczecin, protected within the Szczecin "Beech Forest" Landscape Park (established in 1981).

Location and surroundings

It lies in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Gryfino district, mainly in the Stare Czarnowo municipality, partly within the boundaries of Szczecin and the Gryfino municipality.

Natural attractions

Characteristic is the dominance of well-preserved, fertile deciduous forests, especially beech woods. About 1,250 plant species and around 140 bird species have been recorded here.
