The Pisz Forest (Puszcza Piska) is the largest woodland complex in Masuria, covering approx. 1,005 km². It borders the Masurian Landscape Park and the Masurian Plain.
It lies mainly in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (including the municipalities of Pisz, Ruciane-Nida, Mikołajki, Piecki, Szczytno), with fragments reaching the Masovian and Podlaskie voivodeships.
Within the forest lie numerous lakes, some under reserve protection (including Bełdany and Nidzkie), and in the vicinity is Poland's largest lake – Śniardwy.
For canoeists, sailors, cyclists and hikers.
A year-round destination; water tourism in the summer season.
By car; a base for trips in Ruciane-Nida and Mikołajki, among others.
