The Solska Forest is a large woodland complex in the southern part of the Lublin region, consisting mainly of pine forests, with an area of about 1,240 km². It lies in the Sandomierz Basin, on the Biłgoraj Plain, south of Roztocze.
It covers the counties of Biłgoraj, Tomaszów and Zamość in the Lublin Voivodeship, and partly the Lubaczów County in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. The Roztocze National Park lies in its northern part.
Characteristic features are the river rapids known as "szumy". Species occurring here include the capercaillie, black stork, lesser spotted eagle, as well as wolf and lynx.
For cyclists, hikers and nature lovers.
A year-round destination.
By car; base for excursions in, among others, Józefów and Biłgoraj.
