Stobrawa Forests

The Stobrawa Forests are a large woodland complex in the Opole Voivodeship, with an area of about 420 km². A significant part is protected by the Stobrawa Landscape Park (established in 1999, area about 52,636 ha), in which forests make up nearly 80% of the surface, dominated by pine forests.

Location and surroundings

It lies north of Opole, in the Stobrawa valley, in the counties of Opole, Kluczbork and Namysłów.

Natural assets

Characteristic features are inland dunes (up to about 30 m high) and the valley of the Budkowiczanka, inhabited by, among others, otters and beavers.
