Iłża Forests

The Iłża Forests form a vast, compact forest complex in the southern part of the Masovian Voivodeship, near Iłża, on the border with the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. Together with the Świętokrzyska Forest, they belong to the most naturally valuable areas of the region - wolves live in their dense thickets.

Characteristics

Pine and mixed forests dominate; the area is a refuge for numerous bird species, including the black stork.
