Wolski Forest is the largest urban forest in Kraków (about 422 ha), located in the western part of the city, on the hills of the Kraków Gate. It consists mainly of deciduous and mixed forests - oak-hornbeam woods, beech woods and oak woods - on undulating, limestone bedrock. Within its grounds are the Józef Piłsudski Mound, a zoological garden and the Camaldolese monastery in Bielany.
The area is open year-round, admission free. Accessible by public transport.
