Sobibór / Włodawa, powiat włodawski, województwo lubelskie
The Sobibór Forests are protected within the Sobibór Landscape Park, in the eastern part of the Lublin Voivodeship (Włodawa County), in the Łęczna-Włodawa Lake District. The park (established on 23 March 1983) covers 100 km² (buffer zone 95 km²); forests make up over 85% of its area. These are pine woods with numerous peat bogs and 7 forest lakes.
It is one of the most naturally valuable areas in Poland not granted national park status; a refuge for the European pond turtle and numerous birds.
The area is open year-round, admission free. PTTK trails (including the "Seven Włodawa Lakes").
