Location and surroundings

Skrzyczne (1,257 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Silesian Beskids, situated within the boundaries of Szczyrk and the villages of Słotwina and Lipowa (Silesian Voivodeship). It is built of thick layers of Godula sandstone, with steep eastern and northern slopes and fields of rock debris.

What to see

A two-section chairlift from Szczyrk leads to the summit. The peak is dominated by an 87-metre transmission mast. A PTTK mountain hut is in operation, and in winter an extensive ski resort (with trails totalling over a dozen kilometres).

Who it is for

A convenient destination for both hikers and skiers; ascent by cable car is possible.
