Location and surroundings

Gołębia (226.9 m above sea level), commonly known as Góra Żarska, is the highest hill of the Lubusz Voivodeship, located on the Żary Heights, about 2.5 km south of the town of Żary (Żary rural municipality, Żary County). Its official name was established in 1954.

Natural values

The hill is densely forested; the Lubsza river rises nearby. The area is covered by two protected zones - a special habitat protection area and a protected landscape area, both named "Las Żarski".

What to see

At the top there is a fire watchtower. The county road 1093F runs along the western slope.

For whom

An easily accessible, forested destination for walkers and collectors of the Crown of Poland.
