Lubań (1,211 m a.s.l.) is a prominent peak in the southern part of the Gorce, an excellent vantage point over the Tatras, Pieniny and Beskids. In 2015 an observation tower approx. 22 m high was erected below the western summit. Historic mountain huts were destroyed (in 1944, and by fire in 1978); today a seasonal student tent base operates here.
