Radochowska Cave

Radochowska Cave is a tourist-accessible karst cave in the Golden Mountains in the Eastern Sudetes, near the village of Radochów. It is 265 m long. It was formed in white marble and has a constant temperature of about 9°C.

Location and surroundings

The cave is located in the Lądek-Zdrój municipality, in the Kłodzko county. The best-known chamber is the Gothic Hall with a small karst lake covering about 30 m² and 2 m deep.

Natural value

Inside, traces of stalactites and stalagmites and other dripstone formations have been preserved. The cave is a winter shelter for five species of bats. Bones of cave bear, cave hyena, wild horse and woolly rhinoceros have been discovered in it.

Guided visits. Access along the green trail from the Radochów stop (approx. 30 min) or the blue trail from Lądek-Zdrój (approx. 80 min).
