The Cave in Trzy Kopce (Klimczok Grotto)

A landslide cave in the Trzy Kopce ridge in the Silesian Beskids, the third longest cave of the Beskids. The entrance lies at about 1000 m above sea level, in a beech forest on the southern slopes of Trzy Kopce.

Overview

  • Length: 1254 m
  • A 4-metre entrance shaft, a labyrinth of passages and chambers on several levels (including the Robbers' Hall, the High Chamber, the Bats' Hall)
  • Wet and muddy, with tight passages in places

Scope

  • Exploration only for people experienced in caving, with equipment and light

Getting there

Along the yellow trail from Klimczok to Błatnia or the red trail from Klimczok to Karkoszczonka.

Visit duration: thorough exploration about 5 hrs (only for the experienced)
