Jezioro Necko, Augustów, powiat augustowski, woj. podlaskie (Pojezierze Augustowskie)
Necko is a ribbon lake situated in and around Augustów (Augustów County, Podlaskie Voivodeship), in the Augustów Lake District. To the north it connects with the lakes Rospuda Augustowska and Białe Augustowskie; the Netta river flows out of it, becoming the Augustów Canal.
Area of about 400 ha, length about 5.4 km. The shoreline, about 13 km long, is largely wooded and has numerous sandy beaches. Necko is one of the popular lakes on the Augustów Canal route.
Ideal for enthusiasts of sailing, kayaking, beach recreation and boat cruises.
The lake lies within the boundaries of the spa town of Augustów, which makes access to tourist facilities easy.
