Lake Jeziorak

Location and surroundings

Jeziorak is the longest lake in Poland (about 27.45 km), located in the Iława Lake District in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, on which lies the town of Iława. Part of the lake and the surrounding forests are covered by the Iława Lake District Landscape Park.

Natural features

A ribbon lake with a north-to-south axis, with numerous islands in its central part. The largest island is Wielka Żuława (about 82.4 ha) - according to some sources the largest inland lake island in Europe. Jeziorak is connected with the Vistula Lagoon via the Elbląg Canal.

For sailors, kayakers and lovers of waterside recreation; a base in Iława.
