Lake Sulejów (the Sulejów Reservoir) is an artificial reservoir on the Pilica River in Łódź Province, within the boundaries of the Sulejów Landscape Park. It was created between 1969 and 1974 by damming the Pilica at Smardzewice. It lies within the municipalities of Sulejów, Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Mniszków and Wolbórz.
Its area is about 27 km² and the shoreline about 58 km. The reservoir was built mainly to supply drinking water to Łódź and Tomaszów Mazowiecki. Its varied, wooded shoreline is well suited to recreation: swimming, sailing and canoeing.
For sailors, beachgoers and lovers of waterside recreation in central Poland.
The reservoir is fed by the Pilica and Luciąża rivers; there are holiday resorts and marinas nearby.
Year-round; water sports and swimming in the summer season.
By car to Sulejów or Smardzewice (near Tomaszów Mazowiecki).
