Lake Miedwie

Miedwie is one of the largest lakes in Poland, located in the Pomeranian Lake District, in the Płonia river basin. It is a ribbon lake and serves as the main drinking water intake for Szczecin.

Significance and recreation

The lake is a drinking water intake for Szczecin (the Żelewo area). Along its shores there are bathing areas, including in Morzyczyn, Zieleniewo, Wierzchląd and Koszewko, as well as a promenade with an educational trail.
