Lake Gardno

Gardno is a shallow coastal lake in the Słowińskie Coast region, located within the Słowiński National Park. It is separated from the Baltic Sea by the sandy Gardno spit.

Characteristics

  • Area: approx. 2,469 ha (8th largest lake in Poland)
  • Maximum depth: 2.6 m
  • Type: coastal lake (polygenic)

Nature

The Łupawa river flows through the lake. It lies in the Słowiński National Park (Smołdzino municipality) and is an important refuge for waterfowl.
