Białe Lake (near Gostynin)

Białe Lake is a post-glacial lake in the Płock Basin, in the municipality of Gostynin (Gostynin district). It is renowned for the high purity of its water and is popular among divers.

Characteristics

  • Area: approx. 142.5-150.2 ha
  • Maximum depth: approx. 31.3 m (up to 36 m according to some sources)
  • Type: post-glacial lake

Attractions

The highest water-purity class in the region, good conditions for diving. In 2008 part of Andrzej Wajda's film Tatarak (Sweet Rush) was shot at the lake.
