Barycz Valley Landscape Park

The largest landscape park in Poland (established in 1996), with an area of approx. 87,040 ha, located in the valley of the Barycz River. It is famous for one of the largest complexes of fish ponds in Europe.

Location and surroundings

The park stretches between Żmigród and Przygodzice, on the border of the Lower Silesian and Greater Poland Voivodeships.

  • The Milicz Ponds - a refuge for approx. 250 bird species, a Natura 2000 site
  • Viewing towers and hides among the pond dikes
