Mazovian Landscape Park

A park established in 1987 over an area of more than 14,000 ha, located south-east of Warsaw, in the region of Otwock.

Location and surroundings

The park consists of two parts separated by the built-up area of Otwock, in the Mazovian Voivodeship.

What to see / Natural values

  • Chains of dunes covered with pines and boggy depressions with peat bogs
  • Pine forests (over 70% of the park's area)
  • Matecznik - an animal rehabilitation centre (established 1998)
  • The "Swan Trail" route (approx. 20 km)

For residents of the Warsaw agglomeration, hikers and cyclists.

The wilderness is home to black storks, European pond turtles, elk and badgers, among others.
