Rudawski Landscape Park

A landscape park operating since 1989 in the Rudawy Janowickie mountains, covering 15,705 ha and part of the Lower Silesian Landscape Parks Complex.

Location and surroundings

The park lies in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the Western Sudetes. Its most famous attraction is the Colourful Lakes at the foot of Wielka Kopa near Wieściszowice.

What to see / Natural highlights

  • The Colourful Lakes - four reservoirs of different hues (yellow, purple, azure, green) formed in former mine workings
  • The colours are given by minerals (sulphur, iron, copper)
  • An educational path 4.1 km long
