Kraków Valleys Landscape Park

A park covering about 20,686 ha, entirely within the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, encompassing the ravine valleys of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland.

Location and surroundings

The park lies north of Kraków. In a National Geographic Traveler poll, the Kraków Valleys won as one of the "7 New Wonders of Poland".

What to see / Natural highlights

  • The Będkowska Valley - a karst valley with caves, rock outcrops and waterfalls
  • The Sokolica Rock (over 100 m) - the tallest climbing rock outside the Tatras
  • The Szum Waterfall on the Będkówka
  • The Będkowska Gate, the Nietoperzowa Cave (guided tours)
