Brodnicki Landscape Park

Established in 1985 as the 25th landscape park in Poland, covering about 16,936 ha. It lies across two voivodeships, mainly the Kuyavian-Pomeranian one.

Location and surroundings

The park lies in the Brodnica Lake District. The management is based in Grzmięca on Lake Strażym, with an educational garden and an apiary.

What to see / Natural highlights

  • The Bachotek and Retno nature reserves
  • Post-glacial lakes: Kochanka, Retno, Strażym, Strzemiuszczek
  • The winding Skarlanka river - a canoeing trail
  • The "Bobrowiska" educational path (about 4 km)

Who it's for

For canoeists, hikers and cyclists.

Good to know

Along the "Bobrowiska" path there is, among others, a hydroelectric plant and a peat bog with sundew.
