Gryżyna Landscape Park

Gryżyna Landscape Park was established on 15 April 1996. It protects the glacial trough of the Gryżynka valley, which is of exceptional scenic value.

Area and location

The park covers 3,064.8 ha (30.65 km²). It lies within the municipalities of Bytnica, Krosno Odrzańskie, Skąpe and Czerwieńsk.

Natural values

The central feature is an approximately 15-kilometre glacial trough with 11 lakes (the largest being Lake Jelito), 12 fish ponds, 94 slope springs and 17 peat bogs. The trout river Gryżynka flows through the park. Forests occupy 86.6% of the area.
