Łagów-Sulęcin Landscape Park

Łagów-Sulęcin Landscape Park was established on 26 April 1985. It protects the outstanding scenic values of the central part of the Lubusz Lake District with the picturesquely situated Łagów.

Area and location

The park covers 5,438.5 ha, and together with the buffer zone 6,554.8 ha. It lies within the municipality of Łagów (Świebodzin County) and the municipality of Sulęcin (Sulęcin County).

Natural values

The park includes eight lakes with clean water (class I-II), a 15-kilometre glacial trough 100-750 m wide and 20-90 m deep, as well as steep morainic ridges covered with beech woods and pine forests. More than 550 plant species occur here, along with eagles, black storks and otters.
