Wałbrzych Sudetes Landscape Park

The Wałbrzych Sudetes Landscape Park was established in 1998. It protects the mountainous areas of the Central Sudetes south of Wałbrzych, with Waligóra (936 m a.s.l.) as its highest peak.

Area and location

The park covers 6,493 ha, with a buffer zone of 2,894 ha. It lies within the municipalities of Czarny Bór, Mieroszów, Głuszyca, Wałbrzych, Boguszów-Gorce and Jedlina-Zdrój.

Natural value

The park encompasses the Lesista Range (851 m), the western Góry Suche with Waligóra and the eastern Wałbrzych Mountains. It is characterised by unique rock formations (Czerwone Skałki, Małpia Skała) protected as natural monuments.

  • the Góry Suche range with Waligóra (936 m - highest point)
  • a dozen or so natural monuments (rock formations)
  • the gorge valley of the Rybna stream

Note

There are no nature reserves or ecological sites within the park.
