The General Dezydery Chłapowski Landscape Park was established on 1 December 1992. It protects an agricultural landscape unique on a continental scale, with mid-field tree belts planted in the 19th century by General Dezydery Chłapowski.
The park covers 173.23 km². It lies within the municipalities of Czempiń, Kościan, Krzywiń and Śrem (Kościan and Śrem counties).
The landscape is made up of arable land (65%), meadows (8.5%) and forests (14.7%) with a characteristic network of tree belts. About 270 plant species and 43 butterfly species occur here; beavers, otters, elk and deer live in the park.
Base in Turew and Kościan.
The area is accessible year-round; cycling and educational trails.
