Tuchola Landscape Park

The Tuchola Landscape Park was established in 1985. It protects the most valuable parts of the Tuchola Forest - one of the largest forest complexes in Poland.

Area and location

The park covers 36,983 ha (369.83 km²) and lies on the border of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Pomeranian voivodeships, among others in the municipalities of Tuchola, Śliwice, Cekcyn, Lubiewo, Gostycyn as well as Chojnice and Czersk.

Natural value

The park's hydrographic axis is the Brda river with numerous gorges and meanders. Pine forests on sandy soils predominate. Since 2010 the park has been part of the buffer zone of the Tuchola Forest Biosphere Reserve. There are eight nature reserves.
