Kowal, powiat włocławski, województwo kujawsko-pomorskie
The Gostynin-Włocławek Landscape Park was established on 5 April 1979. It protects extensive forests and glacial lakes on the border of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Masovian voivodeships.
The park covers 389.50 km², together with a buffer zone of 141.95 km². It lies within the municipalities of Baruchowo, Kowal and Włocławek (Kuyavian-Pomeranian) as well as Gostynin, Łąck and Nowy Duninów (Masovian).
Extensive coniferous and mixed forests, glacial lakes (Lucieńskie, Wójtowskie, Rakutowskie) and protected valleys of the Vistula with riparian woods. The park comprises 11 nature reserves; beavers and lynx live here.
Lake Rakutowskie (a bird refuge), an Animal Rehabilitation Centre.
Base in Kowal, Gostynin and Łąck.
The area is accessible year-round.
