Zabory Landscape Park

Zabory Landscape Park was established in 1990 (originally as Chojnice Landscape Park; renamed in 1991). It protects the Kashubian Zabory region on the Charzykowy Plain and in the Tuchola Forest.

Area and location

The park covers 340.26 km² and lies within the municipalities of Chojnice and Brusy.

Natural values

The park encompasses about 50 lakes (including lobelia lakes), forests (63.31% of its area) and farmland. There are eight nature reserves protecting oligotrophic lobelia lakes, wetlands and post-glacial relicts. Since 2010 it has been part of the Tuchola Forest Biosphere Reserve.
