Vistula Spit Landscape Park

The Vistula Spit Landscape Park was established on 26 April 1985. It protects the coastal ecosystem of the Vistula Spit from Sztutowo to the border with Russia.

Area and location

The park covers 4,410 ha (44.10 km²). It lies within the municipality of Sztutowo and the town of Krynica Morska (Nowy Dwór County).

Natural values

Characteristic features are the coastal dunes - the highest being Wielbłądzi Garb (Camel's Hump, 49.5 m) - and pine forests. The park is part of the Natura 2000 network and constitutes a Baltic marine protected area (HELCOM MPA no. 85). There are two reserves within the park and one in the buffer zone.
