Cisów-Orłowiny Landscape Park

The Cisów-Orłowiny Landscape Park was established on 10 June 1988. It protects valuable old-growth forests and geological formations to the south-east of Kielce.

Area and location

The park covers 206.93 km², and its buffer zone 253.36 km². It lies within the municipalities of Bieliny, Daleszyce, Łagów, Pierzchnica and Raków.

Natural values

The park protects over 200-year-old beech, oak and fir stands, peat bogs, as well as Palaeozoic formations and Devonian limestones. Here lies the Zbójecka Cave (200 m). There are 52 protected plant species, along with elk, wolves and beavers; three nature reserves are in operation.
