Bielańsko-Tyniecki Landscape Park

Bielańsko-Tyniecki Landscape Park was established on 2 December 1981. It protects a section of the Vistula valley between Kraków and Ściejowice, together with valuable cultural heritage.

Area and location

The park covers 63.59 km², and its buffer zone 97.66 km². It lies within the boundaries of Kraków and the municipalities of Czernichów and Liszki.

Natural and cultural values

The park encompasses the Vistula valley and three forest complexes (including Lasek Wolski) as well as caves (Kryspinowska Cave, 255 m). It protects forest and faunal reserves, ecological sites and heritage sites - the Camaldolese monastery at Bielany and the Benedictine abbey in Tyniec.
