Elbląg Upland Landscape Park

The Elbląg Upland Landscape Park was established on 26 April 1985. It protects the elevations of the Elbląg Upland above the Vistula Lagoon, covered with fertile beech forests.

Area and location

The park covers 137.32 km², with a buffer zone of 229.48 km². It lies within the city of Elbląg and the municipalities of Elbląg, Tolkmicko, Milejewo and Frombork.

Natural values

The highest point is Góra Srebrna (198.5 m). Beech forests dominate; mountain species occur (including mountain ribwort and martagon lily) along with numerous streams. There are five nature reserves; white-tailed eagles and cranes live here.
