The Łomża Landscape Park of the Narew Valley was established in 1994. It protects the valley of the Narew preserved in a near-natural state along a stretch of about 32 km.
The park covers 73.682 km² (7,368.22 ha), with a buffer zone of 12,228.58 ha. It lies in Łomża County, within the municipalities of Łomża, Piątnica and Wizna as well as the town of Łomża.
The park protects the meandering Narew with wetlands and oxbow lakes from Piątnica Poduchowna to Bronowo. There are two nature reserves: Kalinowo and Wielki Dział. The area is an important bird migration site.
