The Bieszczady National Park, established in 1973, is the largest mountain national park in Poland (about 292 km²). It protects the nature of the Western Bieszczady, including the unique połoniny (montane meadows).
The park lies at the south-eastern edge of Poland, at the border with Ukraine and Slovakia, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. Together with the parks on the Slovak and Ukrainian sides it forms the International Biosphere Reserve "Eastern Carpathians".
For hikers, lovers of wild nature and photographers.
Tourist information centres are open during the season; Ustrzyki Górne is one of the bases.
The park is open year-round; peak tourist traffic runs from spring to autumn.
Access by car to Ustrzyki Górne and other entry points; trails accessible on foot.
