Kampinos National Park

Kampinos National Park protects the Kampinos Forest - an extensive complex of woodland and dunes located right on the edge of Warsaw. Established in 1959, it covers around 385 km².

Location and surroundings

The park lies in the Masovian Voivodeship, north-west of Warsaw. In 2000 it was recognised by UNESCO as the "Kampinos Forest" biosphere reserve.

  • Inland dunes - regarded as one of the best-preserved complexes in Europe
