Karkonosze National Park

Karkonosze National Park protects the highest parts of the Karkonosze (Giant Mountains) - the highest range of the Sudetes. Established in 1959, it covers around 59 km² and borders the Czech Krkonoše National Park.

Location and surroundings

The park is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, on the border with the Czech Republic; its headquarters are in Jelenia Góra (Sobieszów).
