Lake Charzykowskie and the municipal beach in Charzykowy

Lake Charzykowskie is a flow-through channel lake in the Tuchola Forest, one of the largest lakes in Pomerania, with an area of about 1,363.8 ha. The municipal beach in Charzykowy is the best-known bathing area on this body of water.

Location and surroundings

The lake is located in the Pomeranian Province, in the Chojnice district, in the Chojnice commune; it stretches between the village of Charzykowy and Małe Swornegacie over a length of about 9.5 km. The average depth is about 9.8 m, and the maximum about 30.5 m. Charzykowy is the cradle of Polish sailing.
