The municipal beach in Giżycko is located on Lake Niegocin, directly next to the Ekomarina harbour and the promenade. Niegocin is the third largest lake in the Great Masurian Lakes region, with an area of about 2,604 ha.
Giżycko lies in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (Giżycko County), on the northern shore of Niegocin. The lake is about 10.8 km long, with a shoreline of around 35 km and a maximum depth of about 40 m.

The bathing area is supervised during the summer season by WOPR lifeguards. The bathing area's shoreline is about 159 m.

The beach is a few minutes' walk from the centre of Giżycko; the town has a railway station.
